Terms of Sale and Use

1. The app

LomiSpeak for Mac turns speech in Tigrinya, Amharic and Afaan Oromo (and English on macOS 26 or later) into text and types it into the app you are using. Speech recognition runs on your Mac.

It requires a Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later) running macOS 13 or later. Please check this before buying.

2. Buying the app

• The app is a one-time purchase. The price is shown at checkout. There is no subscription.
• Our online reseller, Lemon Squeezy, processes the order. Lemon Squeezy is the store that sells you the app: it takes your payment, charges any sales tax or VAT, and sends your receipt.
• After checkout you can download the app right away. The download link is also in your receipt email.

3. Your license

• Your purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable license to install and use the app on Macs you own or use.
• Please do not share, resell or redistribute the download or the app.
• Do not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or try to extract the app's code or speech models, except where the law allows it.

4. Updates

Updates are included at no extra cost for as long as we release them. The app checks for updates and installs them when it restarts. We don’t promise any particular feature or update, and a version you already have keeps working.

5. Refunds

If the app does not work on your Mac and we can’t fix the problem, we will refund your purchase in full. Email support@lomisolutions.com within 14 days of buying, with your order number and a short description of the problem. Otherwise all sales are final, except where the law of your country gives you other rights.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use the app to break the law or to harm, harass, or impersonate others. You are responsible for the text you create and send with it.

7. Accuracy

Speech recognition can make mistakes. Check your text before you send it, and don’t rely on the app for legal, medical, or other critical communication.

8. Ownership

The app, its design, code, branding and speech models are owned by Lomi Solutions, L.L.C. You own the text you create with it.

9. Limitation of liability

The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including inaccurate transcriptions or lost data. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes do not affect a purchase you have already made.
